Welcome to the website of the GeoMod 2021 conference

The GeoMod conference is traditionally a biennial international conference dedicated to the latest results of analogue and numerical modelling in the Geo-sciences.  However, due to COVID 19, Geomod 2020 has been postponed to 2021. The main aim of the conference is to discuss and present the latest ideas, methods and results of laboratory, analytical and numerical modeling of geological processes.

GeoMod 2021 will take place at Landgoed Zonheuvel near Utrecht from September 19-23, 2021 and will be organized as a hybrid meeting permitting to anticipate on the unfolding COVID situation. This hybrid approach allows the options for both, in person and online participation, following the recommendations of the National Institute for Public Health and the Environment of the Netherlands.

Previous GeoMod conferences took place in: Milan (), Italy (2002); Lucerne, Switzerland (2004); Florence, Italy (2008); Lisbon, Portugal (2010); Lausanne, Switzerland (2012); Potsdam, Germany (2014); Montpellier, France (2016); and Barcelona, Spain (2018).
